This collection contains wills, deeds, land and slave bills of sale, receipts, letters, financial accounts, photographs, biographies, and other miscellaneous materials regarding the Frewin, Stevens, and Taylor families of Frederica, Saint Simons Island, Georgia from 1802 to 1999. Also included is an inventory with brief descriptions of the materials included in this collections, compiled by the donor, Charles E. Pearson as well as two biographies written by Pearson entitled Captain James Frewin of Frederica, St. Simons Island, Georgia and Charles Stevens of St. Simons Island: Coasting Captain.
